About the event

Join Jessica for an enriching journey into self-compassion through the healing arts of dance, creative expression, and writing. This unique workshop combines the therapeutic power of dance movement therapy with the creativity of art and the introspection of writing to help you reconnect with your inner self and cultivate kindness and compassion from within.

Over the course of this workshop, you will be invited to explore:

  • Gentle and Expressive Movement: Explore the connection between your body and emotions through guided movement exercises. Release tension, explore non-verbal expression, and find yourself in movement.
  • Creative Art Activities: Invite your creativity with various art-based activities designed to connect with yourself, and your journey. Whether you're a confident creator or a curious beginner, these practices invite you to communicate your experiences through color, form, and texture.
  • Reflective Writing Exercises: Deepen your self-awareness and compassion with reflective writing prompts that encourage introspection and self-expression. Writing can provide a space to process your thoughts, articulate your feelings, and gain insights into your emotional and mental wellbeing.
  • Group Discussions and Sharing: Be part of a like-minded community of individuals. You are invited to (optionally) share in group discussions if you should choose too. These moments of connection can foster empathy, understanding, and a sense of belonging, as we learn from one other's experiences and insights.

Benefits of Attending:

  • Discover effective tools to enhance your self-compassion and self-care practices.
